Just as Halifax is known for its East Coast hospitality and maritime spirit, the SAC 2026 National Conference will celebrate what we do best as a profession – connecting people to one another and to the communities we serve.
This theme reflects the strength, diversity, and unity of Canada’s communication health community – rooted in shared values and anchored in connection.
For over 60 years, SAC has supported the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology, fostering collaboration, advocacy, and professional excellence. SAC represents the strong roots that ground our national community, while universities like Dalhousie University’s School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, continue to cultivate new generations of practitioners.
2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the Dalhousie School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. To celebrate, the school will be hosting an alumni event on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1:40 p.m., just prior to the SAC Conference in Halifax.
Many SAC members are graduates of the Dalhousie program, and we congratulate the school on this important milestone.
